A distinctive photograph has the power to capture the essence of its subject and communicate in ways that words cannot. The staff of Studio Martone invites you to visit our online portfolio and view some of the memorable images we’ve created for a wide range of clients.
Photographer and founder Jim Martin is a graduate of the Brooks Institute of Photographic Arts and Sciences in Santa Barbara, California. Our professional staff also includes studio manager / photographer / photoshop editor, Mike Steiner. Together we have more than 70 years of combined experience in commercial photography.
Whether your project is on-location or in the studio, you can be assured of the highest quality images and meticulous attention to detail. We use both digital and traditional cameras in all formats.
Working with Studio Martone is the real deal. Jim and Mike share our passion and are consummate professionals throughout the entire process. We have worked with them on many projects and recently partnered again on the yearly Matco Tools calendar. They worked side-by-side with us to ensure complete success. Nothing was left to chance. Their input on both in-studio and off-site planning, special lighting, equipment needs and complex compositions was invaluable. Their ability to mesh well with the different personalities and needs of everyone from property owners to models to car owners is commendable. Long days, complex environments, fickle weather and travel is never a problem for these guys. I strongly recommend Studio Martone for ANY photography project!
We were looking for a unique photographic presentation to build excitement for our 2005 line of off-road, sport motorcycles prior to the official introduction. Rather than show a fresh new model, Studio Martone helped us veil a brand new motorcycle in mud, just as it would look after a hard ride. The contrast of the stark white background conveyed our message perfectly — New. Innovative. Special. The final image was even better than we envisioned. It supported KTM’s position in off-road riding and became the image that supported our 2005 theme: Born Off-Road. Bred Ready to Race.
When Sealy Mattresses launched its own retail stores, they wanted one image that captured the essence and reward of a good night’s sleep to serve as a focal point of the store design. They also recognized that nobody wants to spend money on a mattress. This single image turned a negative purchase into a positive experience by putting customers in the mood to shop for a new mattress.
